Our Lady of Lourdes uses an envelope system for those making regular offertory donations by cash and those wanting to make additional second collection or other irregular donations that may supplement their standing orders. It is also not mandatory to use the envelopes to make cash offertory donations - however we can't claim the gift aid on money donated this way without using the envelopes.
