What does it mean to live a moral life? What role does religion play in our understanding of right and wrong? And what does it really mean to have freedom of choice?
This October, Fr Martin Boland, parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, Wanstead, will lead a series of four talks exploring Catholic moral thinking and some of the fundamental questions that shape the way we live, make decisions and relate to one another.
The Call to be Human will take place over four Wednesday evenings:
- What does it mean to be moral? — Wednesday 7th October, 7.00–8.00pm
- What has religion to do with morality? — Wednesday 14th October, 7.00–8.00pm
- What does it mean to be a free moral agent? — Wednesday 21st October, 7.00–8.00pm
- Is Love all you need? — Wednesday 28th October, 7.00–8.00pm
The talks will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Centre, 51 Cambridge Park, London E11 2PR, just a short distance from Wanstead Central Line station.
Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is free.
